Washington Trip-Day 1

We had a fantastic time in Washington. We had beautiful weather too. The days were busy and packed with fun. Our last day there was the highlight of our trip. I won't tell you what we did as you'll have to follow along to find out, but I can tell you this...we had an experience like no other! It was something that:
a.) We've never seen before,
b.) We've never done before, and
c.) We'll probably never do again in our lifetime.
Got you curious?? Follow along and wait (ooh...I love suspense)
The boys picked salmon berries at Auntie Tami/Uncle Vil's house
Uncle Vil took the boys for a ride on the excavator (video posted at the bottom of this day's post)
Justin says "wait, there's berries on this tree."
Hang on boys!
Digging out the big rocks
Jarin spent some of his day doing this...
The boys loved doing tricks with Summit
Playing dead
Balancing his treat on his nose
In the afternoon, we went geocaching. Geocaching is like treasure hunting with a portable GPS. Treasures are hidden all over and you must follow coordinates to find them.
Rattlesnake Lake
Heading up a trail to find the cache
Our two cute boys
The boys found the geocache in this stump!
Hunting for treasures inside the box (which is pretty much an ammo box)
We enjoyed a swim in Rattlesnake Lake after our hike. Took a little while to get used to the cool, but once you did, it was refreshing.
"Whoo...that's cold!"
The boys loved Auntie Tami and Uncle Vil's hot tub
Thursday evening we went down to North Bend to see some elk
Snoqualmie Falls and Salish Lodge
The boys found a fun tree to climb in at Snoqualmie Falls

Cliff and Gina's reception

Kayleen N. and Paula H. did a beautiful job of hosting a "Texas themed" wedding reception for Cliff and Gina W.
The centerpieces were really creative

Joyce T. added some to the cake to make it beautiful or should I say "bull-ti-ful"!
The poem that Murray R. wrote and sang for them.

Message in a bottle. You were to leave them a message/guest comment regarding marraige and put it in the bottle. Cute idea Paula!
Guests from all over

The kids enjoyed the dip in the pool!
Cake photo
I think this picture looks pretty natural...don't 'cha think?

Murray did a great job of singing!
Jarin, Lauren S., Brooke W. and Malia N. got in on "Twinkle, Twinkle little Star"
Meanwhile...the older girls were having fun of their own!
At the end of it all, Meagan S. couldn't keep her eyes open. Our thoughts exactly...a fun evening!
